Harrah's Chester

Scheduled to open in Fall 2006, Harrah's Chester Casino and Racetrack is the crowning achievement of the redevelopment of 64-acres that were once home to Sun Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. Representing a joint venture between Harrah's and local businessmen, Harrah's Chester will be the region's premier entertainment venue with a 5/8-mile harness racetrack and 2,500+ slot casino. The brand new facility will feature year-round simulcasting, a host of dining options, flexible meeting space and a 100,000-square-foot slots parlor.

Founded in 1937 as a bingo parlor in Reno, Nevada, Harrah's Entertainment is the largest casino company in the world with annual sales of $8.5 billion. In less than 20 years, the company has grown from four casinos in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe and Atlantic City to nearly 40, including resorts. It conducts operations in 12 states and three countries.
